Supporting The Colleyville Public Library For The Benefit Of The Residents Of Colleyville And Surrounding Communities
The Colleyville Public Library Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2002 to support the library and raise funds for its improvement.
Since its inception the Foundation has raised and donated a total of $567,700 to benefit the library, its programs and projects.
While the Foundation has financed many of the library’s needs beyond the funds the city designates, its main objective has been to expand into the second floor. In total, to supplement the city’s portion the Foundation contributed over $200k to the buildout of the library. With that objective completed, this year’s proceeds will go toward the reorganization of the library as recommended in the Long Range Plan, 2016-2021. Specifically ...
- Update and increase the number of reader seats
- Revise public access to technology
- Expand access to popular children’s programs
- Engage the aging population
- Transition to a single service point on the first floor
- Improve access to popular materials
To raise funds the Foundation has conducted mail-in fund drives, has sponsored library birthday dinner parties, and has organized 5k/1-Mile Runs. Currently the Foundation is conducting "The Big Piggy Bank Fill” campaign and participating in North Texas Giving Day on September 22nd.
