Supporting The Colleyville Public Library For The Benefit Of The Residents Of Colleyville And Surrounding Communities
The Colleyville Public Library Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded in 2002 to support the library and raise funds for its improvement.
The Foundation conducts an annual fall mail-in fund drive, has sponsored library “birthday” dinner parties, in 2007 inaugurated an annual “Race To Read” Run, and is currently conducting "The Big Piggy Bank Fill" campaign. Since its inception the Foundation has raised nearly a half million ($500k) to benefit the library, its programs and projects.
While the Foundation has financed many of the library’s needs beyond the funds the city designates, its main objective has been to expand into the second floor. Next year's (2012) 5th Annual “Race To Read” 5k/1-Mile Run proceeds will go toward the reorganization and expansion of the library, specifically the 2nd floor children’s area and the 1st floor teen room. In total, to supplement the city’s portion the Foundation will contribute nearly $200k to the buildout of the library.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting the Colleyville Public Library for the benefit of the residents of Colleyville, and the surrounding communities which it serves.
